Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
I continue to update my clinical knowledge and skills in order to keep up to date not only with methods of psychological treatment which have been shown to be effective, but also with current thinking in the profession.

Recent examples of my CPD activities include 'doing brief therapy', 'attachment difficulties', and 'stigma of mental illness'.

My Experience
I have worked in a number of settings including the NHS in primary care, a University counselling service, and community counselling services. I am used to working with a wide range of issues including stress related disorders, developmental issues, abuse, cultural issues and difficult life events such as birth, bereavement and retirement.

I have both research and practical experience of working with individuals who have close relatives with mental health issues.

I also have extensive experience within the voluntary sector including crisis work, management and training of volunteers, outreach, working with a family support agency and community counselling services.

I also work with companies and their employees.
